The fdtCONTAINER application is a very efficient FDT-Frame application. It is particularly useful in a Screwdriver-scenario, where devices are configured and serviced. This version is available on the Internet for free downloading.                                                                      

The fdtCONTAINER TCI is an efficient FDT-Container plug-in, which allows the integration in engineering systems with TCI interface. This will finally permit users to apply the FDT technology in systems without FDT-Interfaces. Therefore, only one tool for parameterisation and configuration is needed. On the software-side the devices are integrated into the frame application via a device type manager (DTM). There is no need for any adaption of these DTMs – the TCI functionality is handled by the fdtCONTAINER TCI.

The fdtCONTAINER pocket-frame goes mobile. It’s easy and safe for engineers and service technicians to use FDT in machinery on site and maintenance work can be carried out directly “in the field” or within the factory premises. Integration into the control and engineering system allows the easy retrieval of machine data. The use of the standard platform Pocket PC allows the choice of a wide range of devices – from the low-cost standard devices to ATEX-approved devices.
