Most competitors still work without digital support. Settings such as threshold values or room assignments are made directly on the hardware. KUNDO xT followed a similar approach for many years: Service teams had to set switches on-site and document everything manually. Measurement data wasn’t accessible on mobile devices, which slowed down processes in refrigeration systems, beverage dispensing systems, and similar setups.
To improve this and simplify everyday work for users, KUNDO xT looked for an experienced partner in software development and digitalization. They chose M&M Software not only for its technical expertise but also for its collaborative, trust-based approach.
The project was implemented using agile methods, allowing for a flexible roadmap and shifting priorities as needed. Close collaboration between hardware and software development was key. Both teams worked in parallel and continuously coordinated their efforts since not all prerequisites were available at once.
The KUNDO connect app digitizes the entire workflow related to configuration, monitoring, and service of gas warning systems. Installers and technicians can access all relevant functions via smartphone or tablet. Settings, measurements, and reports are created directly in the app.
The app is built with Ionic Angular. Azure B2C handles authentication and cloud access. Communication with the hardware is established via Bluetooth with a minimum range of ten meters. All features require a verified account.
The app supports the following functions for GAS CONTROL products:
