FDT 3.0-based architectures enable efficient, secure and open implementation of automation solutions. The well-known advantages of FDT technology are complemented by the possibility of platform-independent deployment, especially in Edge/IIoT scenarios. Thus, FDT 3.0 supports the life cycle of a plant - from parameterization and commissioning to operation and maintenance, including data acquisition and analysis. New features are the integrated OPC UA server for company-wide access to IT/OT device data and the web-based DTM interfaces, which allow the use of browser-based applications in connection with FDT 3.0 servers. FDT 3.0 desktop environments ensure backward compatibility and allow both the user and the manufacturer to freely combine different generations of DTMs and other device descriptions. FDT 3.0 supports production and asset management solutions and is therefore future-proof, robust, vendor-independent and flexible, taking into account existing investments.

The event will provide a broad overview of FDT 3.0, starting with basic performance features, the development of DTMs, applications and servers, and ending with the topic of testing and certification. For the integration of IO-Link devices, the soon available interpreter DTM for FDT 3.0 will be presented.

The presentation language is English.
