Project Description
For monitoring and supervising its heat and cooling systems, enercity Contracting GmbH uses a WAGO cloud platform. Energy and billing data from additional devices and the respective network operator are imported into the WAGO cloud platform developed by M&M Software and made available to the RITA system for billing purposes. Data acquisition is handled via WAGO PFC controllers and corresponding IO modules for sensor connections. An IEC 61131 application runs on the WAGO controller, responsible for capturing operating parameters. It also determines which data is transmitted to the cloud. The WAGO-provided Cloud Connector runs on the controller, taking the data from the IEC 61131 application and transferring it to the Azure Cloud.
This custom WAGO cloud platform solution gives enercity Contracting a central data platform for both energy and billing data at each metering point.
Benefits for the End Customer
Automatic capture of consumption and generation data in the WAGO cloud platform eliminates manual entry for installed meters. The data can then be monitored and processed just like physical devices.
This solution creates a foundation for integrating additional data formats as virtual devices into the WAGO cloud platform.
