Overview
Data is the basis of every IoT solution; without it, Industry 4.0 is just smoke and mirrors. This data is created in the sensors of the field devices and added value should be generated from it.
So much for the requirement: but how does the data get into the cloud? What role does OPC UA, one of the leading communication protocols for exchanging machine data, play?
Precise procedure
This workshop introduces the concepts of Microsoft Azure IoT Edge and their implementation in practice. The aim is for each participant to have created an executable cloud deployment and have a configured Edge device by the end of the workshop. This allows data to be transferred from their own OPC UA server to the cloud and visualized. Participants can use this setup as a basis for further IIoT developments in their company.

Target group
Intermediate/Advanced: The workshop is aimed at (software) developers and decision-makers whose task it is to send device data to the cloud as well as participants interested in Azure, Edge and OPC UA.
About this workshop
The Inspire workshop lasts two days. It can be held either at your premises or at one of our company locations (St. Georgen/Hanove
Prerequisite for an external implementation:
Seminar room with a very good Internet connection and sufficient power connections.
The workshop takes place in a small group of maximum 5 participants. This ensures that there is sufficient space for direct exchange.
Plus point:
In addition to the hands-on sessions, relevant Industry 4.0 topics are discussed, differentiated and specified.
These include, for example
- Cloud concepts
- Cloud technologies
- business models
- Artificial intelligence
- Augmented/virtual reality
