M&M Software at the MEDICA/COMPAMED 2025
MEDICA and COMPAMED 2025 in Düsseldorf showed how much the international healthcare industry is changing. Lots of people, lots of ideas, lots of discussions. It quickly became clear that the industry is on the move.
Following the motto "Meet Health. Future. People." more than 5,300 exhibitors from 70 nations and around 78,000 trade visitors from 160 countries were at the fair.
Our highlights:
- Joint stand: There was always something going on at our stand in Hall 10, Stand F42 at MedicalMountains x Spectaris: customers, network and cooperation partners.
- Presentations: Dr. Kristian Schatz spoke about strategies for connected medical devices and struck a chord with many visitors. Prof. Martin Haimerl and Peter Hartung showed how AI supports technical and regulatory issues.
- Panel discussions: Peter Hartung was part of various panels, including on AI and the book launch of Medical Device Management – Open Access. One special panel was on the topic of ‘Medical devices: How to stay competitive in the long term? ’ The panel spoke about challenges and ways to remain in the market in the long term.
- Networking moments: Our #WomanInMedTech group photo. Lots of smiling faces. A small gesture that says a lot.
Trends shaping the industry:
Software, data and cloud services are becoming increasingly important. Terms such as DaaS (Diagnostics-as-a-Service), SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) and SaMD (Software-as-a-Medical-Device) are now appearing everywhere. Robotics in combination with AI and software are also playing a greater role, especially in laboratories and diagnostics. Studies predict around 16 per cent growth per year in medical robotics. The trade fair confirmed the feeling that a lot is happening right now.
