Self-organization: What skills does the individual need in an agile team?

Our colleagues Jörn Klapschus and Boris Wezisla will be giving an exciting presentation on the topic: When "Only Generalists" is no longer enough: Skills Management in Agile Project Teams.

Thursday 20.11.2025 | 14:00 - 15:30 | Microsoft Teams

On November 20, the "Agile" expert group will meet online - this time it's all about self-organization.

Agile working turns many things upside down - especially when it comes to self-organization. How does teamwork change? What skills does each individual need to work well in an agile environment? And what actually happens at the interfaces with other departments or companies? These questions are the focus of our next meeting of the "Agile" expert group. Three companies from the group will share brief insights from their practice: What skills help them in their day-to-day work? And what can we take away from this for ourselves?

With us: our colleagues Jörn Klapschus and Boris Wezisla
Their keynote speech: "When 'only generalists' is no longer enough - skills management in agile project teams"

Agile teams often want everyone to be able to do everything. But complex, technical projects in particular often require in-depth specialist knowledge. Jörn and Boris show how to think flexibly about fixed team structures, share knowledge via mentoring and bring experts into the project as "makers" or "supporters" as required.
