enercity Contracting GmbH is an energy service provider operating throughout Germany and offers efficient and future-oriented contracting solutions for real estates. The company supplies heating, cooling and other energy products. For this, enercity operates heat, cold and steam generation plants, heating networks and highly efficient combined heat and power plants - preferably using renewable energy sources (e.g. biogas and wood).
To monitor and control their heating and cooling systems, enercity Contracting GmbH uses the WAGO Cloud. For this purpose, energy and billing data from other devices and the respective network operator are uploaded into the WAGO Cloud developed by M&M Software and made available to the RITA System for billing. The data is collected using WAGO PFC controllers and corresponding IO modules for connecting the sensors. An IEC61131 application is executed on the WAGO controller, which is responsible for recording the operating parameters. It also defines which data is transferred to the Cloud. The Cloud Connector provided by WAGO is executed on the WAGO controller. It takes the data to be transmitted from the IEC61131 application and transfers it to the Azure Cloud.
With this individual WAGO Cloud solution, enercity Contracting has one central data platform both for energy and billing data for each metering point.
